Al Ain/Haffat Border Post
Border crossings on overland trips have to be taken as part of the adventure, a stroll outside normal reality and into the strange disconnected world of immigration policies and bureaucratic paranoia. Border posts contains a no-mans land but are no-mans lands themselves; a liminal otherworld place.
This one wasn’t too bad and only took about 2.5hrs. Apart from us, there were very few people there.
