Elephant Sands to Okavango Delta
Up at 5:15am this morning as I’m on cook team and we need to get breakfast ready by 6:15am for 7am departure for Okavango Delta. Sunrise was 5:30am. Had a slightly restless sleep last night because I forgot to fly inflate my airmattress fully. If I don’t fully inflate, it squeaks as I turn about and can wake me up. This happened and I was to lazy to get out of my snug bed and blow it up.
I’m glad I bought a good air mattress as I hear people who have cheap ones say they wish they had a better one. Mine is expensive but worth every cent. I first bought if for my central Asia trip in 2018. I was considering a much cheaper one but thought about how much I would be prepared to pay if I couldn’t sleep properly. No contest.
While waiting for the truck to leave, I admired some strange looking birds who came very close to us.

The group now has a different feeling to it as 4 people left and 5 joined in Victoria Falls.
