Tembo Beach, Musoma, Lake Victoria.
Arrived at the campsite this evening at 5ish, following a deluge for the previous few hours. Like the previous site, this one was also on Lake Victoria, on a beach. Unlike the last site, the beach had disappeared beneath the waves which were breaking over the wall. The place was wild. Only one of us was brave enough to pitch their tent. The rest of us wimped out and upgraded to rooms. I shared with Scott again and our toom has a wet room with a shower which has a minuscule water tank with enough hot water for a 2 minute shower. Ho him.
As soon as we checked into our rooms, the rain stopped, the clouds began to clear and there was a nice sunset. I took some photos and sat on a fallen palm tree. When the sun was almost gone, we walked back to the hotel and noticed a bright brand new moon shining in the sky.
The cook team made an elaborate meal, so elaborate that dinner was an hour late but it was worth waiting for, delicious.
I was very tired and not very talkative plus my bones ached from the jolting around in the truck so I left early for a shower and an early night.
