Tamri Lunch Stop
Stopped here for a lunch and pee break; not simultaneously. We’re about 100 meters in from the coast and 70m high. There are sand dunes and the wind is fierce and throwing up a mini sandstorm. Now I understand why locals wear face coverings.
I stood on the crest of a hill and let the wind, sand and sun buffet me. Exhilarating.
A few minutes after we left, we hit a real sandstorm and the cry went out ‘windows up’. It was just a baby though and soon passed.
